California entrepreneur Paul Alan Smith has created a brand new company called New Deal Mfg. Co., an entertainment representation company that’s based in LA. The company’s purpose is to act as a client’s agent or manager depending on the client’s needs. Mr.Smith’s company gives directors a higher number of agents or managers to choose from (which is very different from most talent agencies in LA), making a much better partnership down the road. Paul Alan Smith hopes to make it easier for agencies and management companies to add representatives to their teams.
His agents have worked with the teams behind quite a few popular tv-series and movies such as “Supernatural”, “Chicago Fire”, and “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. Paul Alan Smith has had been apart of the Hollywood scene in the 80s, working for a great many companies and agencies throughout his Hollywood career. This dedicated man has become a veteran in the field with almost 40 years of experience. Paul studied theater at New York University as well as The University of California, Paul Alan Smith has come a long way since he first started his interest in the field way back when he watched the movie “Hair” for the first time back in the 70s.
But after being hurt by a few past bad experiences with other companies he once trusted, Paul Alan Smith decided to create a company that would make life easier for directors all across LA.
