Boris Ivanov is a successful Russian entrepreneur. He is a native of Moscow and born in the early 1960s. Boris is the mastermind behind the famous oil exploration and production company known as GPB Global Resources B.V. The oil company has its headquarters in Amsterdam. Still, it is spread out across South America, the Middle East, and Africa. Boris’ parents were both academicians. His father was employed ar the Institute of General History of the Soviet Academy as a science researcher. His mother worked at the History of the USSR, as a history researcher. As a young boy, Boris Ivanov’s main focus was on martial arts, soccer, and classical music.

Boris Ivanov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, with a degree in International Relations. After school, he was employed at the Soviet Union as an International Diplomat, in the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Boris worked at the Washington D.C. offices in the mid-1980s. Due to his role as an international diplomat, he was able to create strong relations between the Russian government and the American Government. In the early 1990s, the Soviet Union collapsed, and Boris left the public sector to work in the private sector. After leaving the Soviet Union, he got employment at Unibest Bank as a director executive. At Unibest, Boris worked in the oil and gas sectors.
Boris Ivanov later left Unibest Bank to work at Gazprombank, where he became the advisor to the chairman of the bank. The bank is among the largest in Russia, and it is a subsidiary of Gazprom. In 2007, Boris received an appointment as the Director-General of Gazprom E.P. International B.V. This is an oil and Gas Company managed by the Dutch and was part of the developments of Gazprom. His main task at the company involved searching for new entries in the overseas market. In 2011, Boris left the bank and went ahead to create the GPB Global Resources B.V.
