In 2019:

Utility Warehouse announced an increase of 4% in the numbers of its clients; hence they were approximated to be 635,000 in total.

In 2020:

Ofgem energy regulatory announced that the price cap at Utility Warehouse had forced them to overcharge their UK clients. Therefore, a Warm Home Discount was provided as compensation and refund to 3.430 purchasers affected by the high prices, which were done between 2019 January to November. An error brought about the issue in the system, which was later corrected. Apart from the clients getting refunds, the company would also provide them with “goodwill” payments.

In 2021:

According to current data, 2700 customers of Utility Warehouse are getting paid 95,500 pounds after being overcharged by the firm when they changed tariffs and suppliers between 2013-2020. Founded by Ofgem energy regulatory among 18 other companies, Utility Warehouse failed to fulfill these guidelines, and as a result, over a million purchasers got affected. All the affected clients of the company are to receive each on average 35.08 pounds as an average supplier amount across the industry.

Among the 25 energy firms listed in a survey, 7460 members nominated Utility Warehouse as 7th in providing good energy services annually. The company efficiently and quickly deals with each complaint from the purchaser to look for other alternatives.

Prepayment Meter Clients

Those who have been using a conventional prepayment meter can access the digital meter from the company through a credit mode. Therefore, they will get a bill at the end of each month, and when they need to top up, they can do that at the Post Offices, Payzone, or at PayPoint.
