Supporting Ohio: Kisling, Nestico & Redick Law Firm Gives Back

How far would you go to support your community? Would you take an icy dip in the frozen waters of Portage Lake for a Polar Bear Plunge charity event? That’s just one example of how far team members from respected legal firm Kisling, Nestico & Redick, known as KNR, will go in the name of charity. Kisling, Nestico & Redick is one of Ohio’s most successful law firms, employing dozens of lawyers and hundreds more legal staff and team members throughout their 11 Ohio offices.

KNR has made a name for themselves as ardent defenders of citizens facing off against their powerful entities and corporations. Managing Partner Rob Nestico credits an incident from his youth for KNR’s tenaciousness. When injured, an insurance company took advantage of Nestico’s parents, who spoke only Italian and didn’t understand the transaction. From there, it has been a logical step for the successful firm to expand their efforts into the world of charity and giving back to the communities they help represent. A major focus of Kisling, Nestico & Redick’s efforts are on anti bullying campaigns.

This includes both providing information and awareness, as well as legal representation when necessary. Beyond their antibullying advocacy however, they also work hard to help those in need, extending their courtroom ethos to their communities. They gathered and handed out 200 backpacks to disadvantaged children, took a dozen kids in the Big Brother Big Sister program on a shopping spree and gave away 300 bicycle helmets. In another an innovative program, KNR created a scholarship which has teens think up ways to curb distracted driving. Kisling, Nestico & Redick are stepping up to help the great state of Ohio both in the courtroom and beyond.

We are continuing our celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth by honoring African Americans in history who have been influential in our judicial system. Shirley Chisholm was the first African American woman in Congress (1968) and the first woman and African American to seek the nomination for president of the U.S. from one of the two major political parties (1972). Of her legacy, Chisholm said, “I want to be remembered as a woman… who dared to be a catalyst of change.” • • • • • #bhm #blackhistory #cle #historymonth #womeninlaw #february #president #ohio #ohiolaw #law #toledo #columbus #ohiogram #celebrate #ohioigers #lawfirm #akron #tuesdaytip #cleveland #topictuesday #216 #330 #youngstown #akron #team
