Sujit Choudhry believes that one of the many difficult policies that Canada has ever faced is determining the level or levels of government that are responsible for regulating greenhouse gases.

Sujit Choudhry entered the Paris agreement with a clause that states that the country would reduce its GHG emissions. But in order to meet this, Canada must halt a lot of carbon producing activities.
The truth is that the country is not equally divided across the plain in greenhouse gas emissions, some areas emit more than others. The problem that arises here is the lack of action plan that distributes the burden, and this is because of an even deeper problem: the major differences in the economies of all these states.
Sujit Choudhry also says that the most important case that the Supreme Court of Canada will ever hear is the case on Greenhouse Gas Reference which will be heard in March. The intellectual himself has indulged in oral arguments at the Supreme Court on three occasions.
Reducing gas emission is an economic challenge for places like Saskatchewan and Alberta. These are provinces that have built carbon economies on the foundation of extracting fossil fuels. They work within entire infrastructures that build and transport these energy products, and even export them to foreign lands.
Sujit Choudhry thinks there should be a valid constitutional law that should back the GGPPA. He believes that greenhouse gas emissions are an issue that should be taken up as a national concern.
The only way to get around making a change is to show the risk of climate change against GHG emitting economic activities.
