The loss of eight lives was a tragedy on Mount Everest that could have been avoided had the experienced guides stuck to their belief that the weather would not allow for a long trek to the top of the mountain.
Ragnar Horn believes the work he has completed could have been improved if he has learned some of the same lessons that were ignored by the guides on Mount Everest. The Taconic AS CEO has taken many of the lessons from the Harvard Business School to his career. By introducing stress tests and safety tolerances such as those that were ignored by the guides on Mount Everest will help us to achieve more like business and community leaders.
