When Boris was living with his parents in Moscow, Russia, he loved martial arts while growing up. His parents worked as researchers, and thus his background pushed him to books. After high school, he joined the prestigious Moscow Institute of International Relations for his bachelor of arts in International Relations. He was very optimistic about venturing into international business.
After graduation in the 1980s, Boris Ivanov was lucky to join the Soviet Union as a diplomat who would join the team leading the negotiation talks regarding the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union.
