Bo Parfet has powerfully pursued acclaim in the world of professional high finance. Pushing boundaries allowed him to rise from the Financial Accounting Standards Board to J.P. Morgan. From a humble Research Fellow to a powerful Wall Street investment banker, Mr. Parfet has exemplified the quality of dedication in the corporate finance sphere.
2007 played witness to one of the greatest non-professional accomplishments of Bo’s life. During that year, he joined a small group of just over 100 American’s who have climbed the notoriously difficult “Seven Summits.” The highest and most challenging of these was, naturally, Mount Everest, and Bo Parfet proudly conquered it 13 years ago.
Not surprisingly, Bo Parfet then penned a fascinating account of his climbing accomplishments. It was published under the name Die Trying: One Man’s Quest to Conquer the Seven Summits, and its Mr. Parfet’s readers seem to have received the book well. They Lived To Tell The Tale: True stories of Modern Adventure from the Legendary Explorers Club added further to Bo’s authorial legacy.
As an entrepreneur and philanthropist, this Northwestern University graduate found socially-conscious entrepreneurship to be the most rewarding area for him. The most notable of his pursuits in this field is certainly the Denali Venture Philanthropy organization. Parfet’s passions for business as well as societal change led to its positive creation in 2013.
In addition to Northwestern University, where his MBA degree is from, Parfet is also a University of Michigan graduate, and he holds a post-graduate economics degree from there.
