Vijay Eswaran, founder and Executive Chairman of QI groups of companies, is a Malaysian based entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. Born to Indian parents in Penang, Malaysia, Vijay Eswaran got his higher education training in Accounting and Management in London and Illinois. His company has its headquarters in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur and operates in tens of countries worldwide. Vijay Eswaran kicked off his career in 1998 when he started QNET, a direct selling e-commerce network. QNET rapidly experienced growth, and within a year, it became the Philippines first and the most preferred within markets in South East Asia and later the Middle East.
Eswaran needed a broad coverage of investments, including property management, hospitality, and education. This was his sole purpose of starting the QI Group of Companies, which hosts more than 1,500 staff. With up to 20,000 attending entrepreneurs in his convention annually, he has managed to train and empower more than one million entrepreneurs. His passion for mentorship and growth has led him to open the QIUP, Malaysia’s fastest-growing University, which provides quality and affordable education.
QI Group of Companies also hosts the QI city project, which is approximated at $300 million. This development project will include a health facility, accommodation, and a trading center.
His leadership is accompanied by taking care of the society that has always made him thrive. Vijay Eswaran gives out 10% of his company’s revenue to charity. He champions the RYTHM and Vijayarantam intercontinental Foundations, which campaigns for community development support for children with special needs.
