Vijay Eswaran is best known as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and most importantly, the Executive Chairman of the QI Group. Growing up in Malaysia, he knew that he wanted to make a difference in the world, starting with the workforce and changing the dynamic of the work industry. Eswaren wanted to open a door for the asian pacific population, and created a platform for them to work and reach full potential. That’s where QI Group came in as that very platform. Eswaran’s success was highly recognized for being able to expand on a global scale, but it wasn’t an easy plan to start with. His motive for even creating such a business wasn’t just for the people, but a way to confront the disastrous Asian financial crisis that took place in 1998. His company, QI Group has since been evolving more and more into the company he wanted it to be.
In his journey to entrepreneurship, Vijay Eswaran has a broad stroke of interests that involve giving back to the community and casting a variety of investments through QI Group. Implementing policies such as a company-wide vegetarian policy and making commitments like donating 10% of profits to philanthropy is a small feat for Eswaran. Highlighting the Qi Group and what it has to offer, the company has managed to find a way to employ, and train over 1500 employees across Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and of course, Malaysia. In his motivational path, his go-getter attitude has motivated and inspired millions of entrepreneurs to keep their strides going and seeing their projects through. His teachings are easily accessed through self written books, social media, seminars and more.
As you have read earlier, he is a philanthropist, a charitable man. Vijay Eswaran has founded and RYTHM and Vijayaratnam Foundations (named after his father), which caters to the young people with disabilities in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. This was to continue his father’s legacy of giving back to the community, giving heart to a company inspired by the practices of Ghandi with QI Group, and shining a light on these needs is demonstrating that there is a way to help everyone an any way possible.
