In January 1999, Sudhir Choudhrie, a conspicuous business person and donor, was hospitalized in New York at Columbia University Medical Center. His heart was coming up short, and without a transplant, he could not make it beyond a couple of hours.
As indicated by his doctor, the prestigious heart transplant specialist, Dr. Mehmet Oz, the heart of Choudhrie had merely a couple of beats left. The family of Choudhrie and Dr. Oz stood by tensely while the clock ran down.
Sudhir Choudhrie was destined for a privileged life in Delhi, India, in 1948. His sibling Rajiv was only two years older, and just the two grew up feeling more like twins. When their dad died in an auto accident, Choudhrie was merely four years old, and out of circumstances, the two siblings and their mother deserted to live with their paternal grandparents.
The current businessman based in London was nine years when he became diagnosed with a defect in the heart. At that tender age, he barely cared about it and did whatever it takes not to let it hinder his life; however, his wellbeing was delicate during most of his childhood years.
In college, he graduated after three years rather than the standard four with an economics degree from Delhi University. He later established an import/send out business with Rajiv, presently the Magnum International Trading Company.
The duo joined hands with Adidas and brought the brand to India, which led to the building of its branch, Adidas Indian Trading Company. The firm developed about 180 stores across the country by 1995.
In the interim, Sudhir Choudhrie married Anita, his soul mate in 1976, and got blessed with two boys, Bhanu and Dhaiya, born in 1978 and 1982, respectively. As his undertakings flourished, Choudhrie kept on suffering from medical issues, and in 1988, for instance, he became partially blind.
As a kid, the entrepreneur, who operates from London currently, became aware of being allergic to seafood, and not at the time when he was a grown-up that he realized he was allergic to iodine. Back in the 1980s, he nearly died due to an anaphylactic reaction. Today, Sudhir Choudhrie has fully recovered and also found a purpose to his life.
