Savannah College of Arts and Design, otherwise known as SCAD is an individual owned nonprofit organization accredited by the Southern Association of schools and colleges commission. The main motive was to supply the college with degrees that were not provided earlier in southeast Georgia and generate skilled professional art college to capture students from the United States and abroad. SCAD provides students who are innovative and gifted as they involve them in the process of learning and teaching.
It was designed with a binary aim of effective arts education and an excellent student profession. SCAD maintains focused on their goals with digital learning because they are situated in different localities. They help learners to come up with new ideas and applicable solutions as they aspire to tackle situations with a lot of passion. They also come up with life-changing incidents and join forces to achieve their goals.
The first classroom and administration block that was used by SCAD was the Savannah Volunteer Guard Armory, which they bought and modernized. The refurbishment enabled them to be acknowledged by the National Register of historical places, which later changed the name to “Potters Hall” to acknowledge the founders.
In September 1978, a committee of trustees was established to find for a qualified faculty and a suitable facility. The committee found out that SCAD Savannah was the best, and it integrated it into the state of Georgia hence being legit.
