Gino Pozzo’s passion for football was destined being that he was born to passionate football enthusiast parents. His mother was related to the football president of the Udinese Calcio Football club. The family continued to remain loyal to the football club throughout their lives.
At the age of eighteen, Gino Pozzo moved to the United States to attend Harvard University and gained his masters. He also married his wife, which is a Catalan and moved to Spain. Although Gino Pozzo and his family has a passion for football, the Pozzo’s have owned and maintained an electrical business in Spain as well as being involved in woodworking. Recently they have decided to get involved with a property and financial merger as well as a sports club. In 2008, the family decided to close down the woodwork company in order to give more attention to their football clubs.
In 2012, Gino and his family purchased the Watford Football Club. The club was struggling to win and hadn’t won since the 1980’s. Once he moved to London and was fully involved with Watford, he told reporters that the future of this club would be promising and in 2015 the Pozzo family had three clubs in different countries that were competing against each other.
