The Savannah College of Arts and Design or SCAD is as unique as the city that it calls home. Savannah, Georgia is a wonderful backdrop for this very distinctive college.
DesignIntelligence has ranked the university’s interior design curriculum as one of the best in the world. SCAD Savannah has rehabilitated more than 60 buildings which today shines like a famous tourist destination. Needless to say, the SCAD Museum of Art, is a work of art itself. SCAD’s influence inspired the city of Savannah to restructure and change at least 60 buildings surrounding the college to make it even more delectable to the eye as well as to the intellect!! This mixture of architecture and academia has boded well for the citizens of Savannah and the administration, instructional staff, and enrollees of SCAD.
SCAD tuition is fairly priced. Like most colleges and universities, SCAD enrolls students who may have financial need in order to pursue their dreams in the arts. SCAD enrollees may pursue traditional financial assistance: FAPSA-Free Application for Federal Student Aid. However, SCAD Savannah offers various scholarships or “gift” aid to students. In most cases, these scholarships or gifts do NOT have to be repaid ever!
Besides the beautiful scenery of SCAD and the alluring backdrop of the city of Savannah Georgia, students who attend SCAD Savannah are undergraduate and graduates who are interested in the arts- media arts and digital design and much more. The academic offerings include everything from art, architecture to fashion, furniture; motion picture animation, and more.
They offer students (paid/unpaid) internships, hands-on experiences, online learning opportunities that encouraged SCAD Savannah students to continue their studies even in the midst of the pandemic.
